Friends of West Norwood Cemetery
I have visited this cemetery on two separate occasions now. The first time poured with rain as soon as we entered the Greek Section - the second time was so very hot.
A tip for visitors, if the little guy in the van comes up to you and tells you that you can't take photos ignore him, politely! As we were leaving he came up to me - I can only assume he's the groundsman or something - seeing the camera around my neck he told me that I cannot take photographs. I asked to speak to the cemetery manager and he said that he wasn't working that day and that he'd let me off this time. As I was nearing the gates I checked the notice boards, nothing stated that photography was forbidden. I then went on to check the website - nothing. So I emailed The Friends of West Norwood Cemetery, hey stated that this had occurred before and that they only ask that you don't photograph funerals or graves under 40 years old - two things I would NEVER dream of doing.
